MARHO Daisy-siete Week
The oldest and largest such group in the country, the Metropolitan Association of Race Horse Owners, kicked off yesterday the 17th running of its flagship racing event at Santa Ana Park.
Dubbed “MARHO Daisy-siete,” the event celebrates one of the most thrilling sports in the world, pitting a human-and-horse duo against other tandems using speed and strategy to eke out a victory.
Around 30 or more trophy races will be scattered throughout this raceweek, from Tuesday to Sunday, with the six championship victories capping the event on Sunday.
Here are the lineups of the six major races as of presstime (subject to change due to scratches), all backed by their usual sponsors:
